Top High School Boys, Girls Basketball teams take part in annual King Showcase Basketball Tournament at accesso ShoWare Center

The 11th annual King Showcase Presented by Icelandic Glacial is set for Monday, Jan. 17 at accesso ShoWare Center with eight games in one day to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The event will feature five boys games and three girls games and kicks off at 9:00 a.m. with a boys game between Kentlake and Auburn Riverside.

Some of the top teams in the state of Washington will be taking part in this annual event. The marquee matchup of the day will be Class 4A top-ranked Mount Si against Class 3A top 10 team Seattle Prep at 7:00 p.m. The No. 1-ranked Class 1A boys team King’s will face off with Tahoma at 5:00 p.m.

On the girls side, two top 10 Class 4A teams will square off at 3:30 with Woodinville taking on Tahoma. Another pair of top local girls teams will meet at 2:00 when Rogers and Auburn play.

Tickets are $10 at the door and $5 for seniors and students with ASB.

KING COUNTY LOCAL HEALTH ORDER* for KING SHOWCASE at accesso ShoWare Center January 17, 2022

As directed by Seattle & King County Public Health Department, beginning Monday, October 25, 2021, all indoor recreational events including professional and collegiate sports, entertainment, performing arts, theatre, and live music will require guests to show proof of vaccination or a negative test. This directive excludes children ages 11 and under that are unable to be vaccinated, meaning they will not need to show proof of a negative test.

What is considered proof of vaccination in King County:
- A CDC Vaccine Card or Photo of Vaccine Card
- Documentation from medical record / vaccine provider
- Proof of vaccination from another state or country
- Mobile apps from healthcare providers (approved by the WA Department of Health)
- Printed Certificate or QR Code (available at the end of September 2021) from MyIRMobile.com

You do not need to show identification with proof of vaccination.

If you are unvaccinated or cannot provide vaccine status, you must show proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test in the last 72 hours.
